Default Worth changing output tube on C22 MKV?

Hi all. I just got a C22 MKV and was wondering if swapping out the 12AT7 Output tube for something more premium would be noticeably better. Thanks.

I think you’ll notice that the sound will become different, now if it is better, trust your ears and gut.

I enjoy the Gold Lions in my c22

I also enjoy Gold Lions in my C22, I did notice improved bass when I swapped out all tubes on my C22 and MC275 simultaneously. But as McMan implies, it's not a huge deal or a no brainer. If I bought a new pre, I'd stick with the stock tubes until they aged out

I have a full suite of tubes in waiting for my C1100 and MC1502 along with my MA352 but I will wait until I have used the OEM tubes for a bit so I can truly get the overall flavor of the sound they emit.

I recently changed both AT and AX on the input and output of my C2700 with Gold Lions and it didn’t disappoint. Like other said slight differences but I prefer the Gold Lions over stock. My need to change was due to one of the stock tubes going bad by producing a crackling sound in one channel.
