Aaron Copland - Symphony No. 3 - Quiet City
New York Philharmonic, Leonard Bernstein  'Quiet City' is one of my favourite pieces of music, Copland's 3rd is a hefty work. Well brought and conducted here. SQ is decent.

  Well recorded selection of works from baroque till 20th century. The combination of organ and trumpet just works wonders.

Verdi: Requiem
Played this today...
Verdi: Requiem Anja Harteros (soprano), Sonia Ganassi (mezzo), Rolando Villazon (tenor), René Pape (bass) Orchestra e Coro dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Antonio Pappano  Not my cup of tea for a Requiem Mass, but a very theatrical and Italianate version of the Requiem. Pappano makes a case for this score by highlighting its explosive and temperamental character. The icing on the cake is the detailed and dynamic recording that captured the whole thing.
