Default Essence Vs. Maestro V2 ?

Hi folks,

I currently run a Dark (LE) Wood Concept with a Satisfy Kardon Carbon arm and a Maestro V2 cartridge. Really love the combo, especially since I added the Smart Power.

Now, I've had the Maestro for seven years now and I am considering trying a MC cartridge. I was wondering if anyone could comment what I'd expect if i switched to the Clearaudio Essence ? I typically listen to pop, rock, some jazz / easy listening stuff. I use a Avid Pulsus phono pre to a Luxman amp, feeding Sonus Faber speakers.

Does anyone think I should be looking at another MC cartridge ?

Thank you for your insight,
Paul
