Saint-Saëns: Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2
Romain Descharmes, piano
Malmö Symphony, Marc Soustrot conducting
Naxos 24/96 files

Delightful stuff: lively and engaging music and performance, and good sound.

Henryk Mikolaj Górecki - Sinfonie Nr. 3 - Canticum Graduum
Sinfonia Varsovia, Alain Altinoglu
Ingrid Perruche, soprano

You cannot have enough versions of the works you love the most.
This one gives you quite prominent rear channels, and it sounds smoother than other versions I have.
Nevertheless, a nice addition.
The soprano Perruche has talent.

Rued Langgaard - Music of the Spheres
Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Choirs, Thomas Dausgaard

Quite a marvellous album this is, also sound wise.
Makes me want to venture into his symphonies.
Anybody has experience with those?

Hey Jim, You do listen to some nice stuff . . . I'm listening to this recording now. And I do like it.

Julia Fischer is excellent and the guy on the Cello may be even better. Daniel Muller Schott, huh!

We've seen him live a couple of years ago. Very very good!

The Eton Choirbook
Huelgas Ensemble, directed by Paul Van Nevel

We're playing quite some polyphony lately.

Huelgas Ensemble is one of the finest ensembles in that area.
Paul Van Nevel always researches for hidden treasures.
This CD contains 3 world premiere recordings.
We try to attend a concert at least once a year.
