Many thanks.

I was considering many TTs - TechDAS AF3, Bergmann Glader, Avid, SME and the list goes on. Then the guy who is going to install my Bergmann (choice at the time) said I should give the J. Sikora some consideration. I did and we’re here.

In discussions with others it is sleeper TT. It is underpriced for what you are receiving. The tonearms are the J. Sikora KV12s. While it will take other arms, these are made out of Kevlar (i.e. bullet proof vest). They are very stiff. They are similar I’d say to a Kuzma 4Pt.

This should be installed by midnight this coming Wednesday. The tech said it would take app 2-3 hours per cart. Of course there is the huge table to put together as well.

They come in many price points. My dealer handles them.

J. Sikora TT

What made you chose the J Sikora? I'll soon be in the market for a table that can take multiple arms hence my curiosity

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be adding the Sikora to my shortlist!

I’ll report back after I have some hours on it. I’m hoping it exceeds what I’m expecting.

Plus, one can exercise the upper body by just lifting the record clamp to change records. It is … hefty.

I have a question for you guys
Is a
Acoustic Research AR XA vinyl record turntable Shure V15 type II cartridge excellent condition.
Worth $450 ?
I found one but not sure if I should spend this much for it
From how it looks in the photos has me a little worried, what do you’ll think ?

Yes, though I would have someone who knows what they are doing check out the stylus to insure its in good shape. A bad one will literally 'eat' your records.
At that price you can always get your money back (or more).
Where are you and the TT located? Might be able to recommend someone to look at it for you.
