Listening to . . . Handel - Concerti Grossi Op. 3, Sonata á5

The Academy of Ancient Music - Richard Egarr Cond.

A very nice rendition of this lovely, but familiar music; by a lovely, but familiar musical group; with its lovely, but familiar conductor/director . . . In other words, ho-hum, here is another well done recording of this lovely, but familiar Handel masterpiece.

Default Vivaldi: The Four Seasons

Nice to see you again, Julian. As always, enjoyed your pithy commentary...

Just heard...

Vivaldi: The Four Seasons
Concerto Italiano, Rinaldo Alessandrini

A very theatrical performance of this familiar music. Nicely done and recorded.

Very nice. I just ordered Handel: Concerti grossi Op. 6 Nos. 1-12 HWV319-330, Academy of Ancient Music, Andrew Manze.

Harmonia Mundi, Academy of Ancient Music, Handel, hard to go wrong.

I am not aficionado enough to compare. I am still at the level of macro appreciation.

That said, anything you would like to share would be of interest.
