On my honeymoon on St. Thomas (24 years ago), at Hotel 1849 in Charlotte Amalie, lamb crown rib roast, spinach salad (made table side in 27(!) steps), raspberry souffle, copious amounts of fine wine and the love of my life.

I like the activity of eating out with Linda and others but I prefer the food at home. It is virtually impossible for me to eat healthy away from the house.

If it is steak I go for the New York Strip, there is not enough marbling in a filet.

I would be very happy with:
Fresh Mozerella and tomato
A plate of prosciutto and melon
Followed by some spicy aglio olio, very light on the garlic

No Filet for me. Much too lean.

A fantastic Cote de Boeuf, cooked on an open fire hearth, served with simple string beans and garlic potatoes with a naughty side helping of Merguez sausages and a nice glass of Chateau Neuf du pape.

Although it's harder to find restaurants serving it - that's why I often make my own at home.

I much prefer a Ribeye to a filet. Just as tender but more flavorful and firmer texture. - Also usually a much larger piece of meat to suit my healthy, big boy, appetite.

I think that i would especially like this Kobe beef ribeye that probably cost more than my month's salary.

Julian - I agree with you 100% in terms of preference overall. I don't grill filets at home - I almost exclusively cook Ribeyes! Snake River Farms Kobe style ribeyes are the best (and they don't cost anywhere near a month's salary - at least here locally)!!
