Cool. Let us know what you think. I've heard really good things about it; Schiit spent over a year in development with the new Loki and really thought it through.

Jerome, can't go wrong at that price my friend. If the Loki gives you control over some parameters of some of your music/recordings that doesn't sound right or balance out some parameter in your system in general, where is the harm in that? Looking forward to your impressions and if Loki helps in any way.

I've read that the new Loki is completely transparent when bypassed, BTW. So you can patch it in and leave it in your system and then just bypass or use as needed.

Default Schiit Audio Loki Mini Four-Band Equalizer

Hello folks,

I received the Loki a few days ago and started to play a bit with it.
I set it up in the processor loop of my CJ GAT. This way I am able to compare a complete absence of it in the signal path to the bypass option.
The Loki is very transparent for sure. Not only in bypass. Actually, it is the best tone control I ever met.
The effects are wonderful because the adjustments are very delicate, yet they produce a very clear difference in the freq response. By "very delicate" I mean that the musicality and transparency of the sound is left in its complete purity.
With the other tone controls I met, especially on the McIntosh preamps, I lost completely the will to use them because they were making the sound "heavy" and fat. There was a clear loss of the liquid sense of the music. Things are very different with this Schiit !
I am not going to use the Loki with every record, but some will truly benefit from it.
The bass and midbass boosts are very useful at low volume listening. They make the same effect as the bass boost on the Leben amplifiers.

Comparing the bypass on the Loki and removing it completely with the processor loop showed that yes, definetely the bypass is a real bypass. You will "hear" though the cables you used to connect the Loki, if they are different from the other cables you use in the system I guess.
Just it may be important for some people to know that the Loki adds some gain to the signal. Maybe about 2 to 3 dB, even in bypass. Or maybe that is the effect of my cables. My dac is connected to the GAT with a pair of 1m50 cables while the Loki gets very short cables of .5 meter.

I am very happy with this purchase and I recommend it highly. Even if you use high end preamps without tone controls, I bet that you will be very surprised by what this little box can do.
