The 2.5 will be more than enough for speakers of that sensitivity.

I just looked up the specs on your Ariel 6ts. I see that they go down to 3ohms so for the Bryston 2.5bsst2 to drive them to your satisfaction speaks volumes for the this amp and its obviously conservative rating.

I was hesitant at first but this amp really surprised me. I'd have to agree w/you that the power ratings are somewhat conservative.
