I wish the McIntosh had a DAC option on their integrated amps. However I have been impressed with the BDA-1 This Bryston integrated amp looks very interesting.

There is no squared version of the B100. The changes that were made between the SST and SST2 amps were not applicable to the B100 so it remains an SST without the sq designation.

My local dealer did not have a B-100 to demo, and had me sit down in front of a Musical Fidelity M6i integrated amp. He had them hooked up to their M1 Click music controller / DAC. The speakers were Totems. I found it totally blah. In fact, it was the first time I sat and auditioned something where I KNEW I didn't like it. So... still searching. I need to hear the B-100 and some C-J gear. I've heard Naim, Linn, Sim Audio, Bryston separates, Peachtree, and now this Musical Fidelity. Oh, and NAD. I thought the NAD C 356EE sounded better than the Musical Fidelity at 1/4 the cost.

Pider the B-100 is an all around great sounding Int amp ive heard it many times .....although if you have already heard Sim Audio Int amps.......you may find it sounds very much like Brystons Int amps.......Sim Audio&Bryston gear to me sounds very much alike....which to say is fast/punchy/dynamic. I guess different strokes for different folks. I did just the opposite. After owning a B-100 SST for 18 months I went back to a MA6500. I missed the added punch of the 200 watt MA6500 not to mention it's musicality.
