Default Schiit Audio: A Class Act

Now that I have Loki and Gungnir, both devices show up in my system in the Audio MIDI control panel and in Audirvana's prefs as Schiit USB Audio Device.

Hard to know which is which toggling between them for playing DSD or PCM content, respectively.

Contacted Jason at Schiit yesterday afternoon at 2:29 PM via email:

PC: "Hey, when we were chatting at RMAF, you asked me something about how Loki appears in Audirvana or Audio MIDI set up. It appears as "Speaker-Schiit USB Audio Device"....is this correct? I've now got two devices that say the same thing. Did you guys change the firmware or something in Loki?"

Jason at 2:53PM : "Yep, we did change the firmware, and you have an early one. If you’d like, we can swap it out for one that says, Schiit DSD Audio Device."

PC: "How do I go about doing that?"

Jason: "I'll have Laura send you a return authorization"

PC: "Cool. Thanks."

Sure enough, by 9:13 AM this morning, I've received not only a return authorization from Laura but also a prepaid FEDEX shipping label for the return shipment.

Laura: "Just send me an email when you shipped it out, and I'll ship another Loki out to you."

Shipped it out today, sent an email to Laura with the return's tracking number at 1:23 PM.

Email from Laura at 2:39 PM: "Thanks! Your replacement Loki is shipping today. Here is the tracking number..."

Now, that's what I call customer service! It's service like this which is why companies like Schiit get my business.

Class, nothing but pure class...

Yeah, the guys at Oppo rock, too. I was down at their facility a while back when they were still in Redwood City, CA.

You build a loyal base with this type of service. Word of mouth in today's world makes the positive even more critical. Good for you, Stephen, for staring the positive. Too many times these stories never get told.

Thanks PC, a great example of what those of us in business supplying products should strive for.
