He didnt buy TAD electronics - and reading about his current amps, they seem like awesome Class A stuff. I love those speakers and heard them this past weekend at Newport.

So far only the D'Agostino's have come relatively close, I actually prefer the stereo over the mono's, although more power and control just not the same being there sensation.

Those settling on a TAD speakers will know just how good there are at communicating a real sense of in the room presentation without harshness or grain.

Last week I heard a pair of CR-1 with a AR ref 5 signature, Krell Evo 402 power amplifier and Metronome Technologie Kalista player all tied together with transparent cabling.

One of the biggest disappoints I have heard this year so far, they system just could not resolve the information that the TAD's could deliver.

In fairness the other listeners were quite smitten, just goes to show until you hear personally what is possible with this equipment forum comments are just that comments.
