TAD gear.

Or a GAT and a Dart.

Hi Brad,

Right now I am using the Pass XP-30 with the 911mk3 monos and am enjoying the TADs very much. After much tweaking with toe in/out and position changes, the TADs are amazing performers and right now can not imagine being with out them. My ultimate combo was/is the GAT with the Dartzeel 108. I am still waiting for my VAC Sig. IIa to arrive and I think that may outperform the GAT. My friend needed an amp, so I sold him my Dartzeel 108 and I ordered a new one. The UPS man will be delivering it on Wednesday . I think the VAC Sig IIa with the Dartzeel 108 will be my new favorite on my TADs. Stay tuned.

PS. I think my 911mk3 monos have taken forever to break in and are just now sounding way better. Leaving them on 24 hours a day helps tremendously as well.

I wonder if that reviewer has ever heard a pair of Marten Coltrane Alto's? But yes the CR-1's are one of the best stand mounts ever made. But I wouldn't be so bold as to name one speaker "the best", since it depends on the listener...

I've listened to both the GAT and the VAC Sig enough to say that for me, the GAT is good but the VAC is better. And I think it may have more of what Joe is looking for.

But if not, he knows how to reach me.

I heard the CR1's with the TAD C2000/M2500 last weekend and I was hugely impressed. Impossible to compare to my own system (CR1's with 911mk3) as the room, acoustics and loudspeaker positioning was completely different.

I'd be curious to be honest how the Vac Ren Mk2a would sound with my Boulder 1060, though the Boulder 1010 is no slouch!

Found the full review online, Alan is rather flattering of the CR1's.
