I saw a build in this color on this thread a few years ago and immediately knew this is the one . I’ll probably have a preamp built by Dennis in this color as well.

A Decware O&J Valve Art item. Nothing fancy. I also use a RCA 5U4 GB with black plates as my other common rectifier. The KT77 Gold Lions were in the power spots before the 7581As. I would be interested in trying another 274B, but without it being more than a set of tires.

I am on the email-me-when-they-are-in-stock list for the 274B at the Tube Store.
I settled on a 5AR4 for the CJ5. I have two other 5AR4s in the queue for the Fire Bottle. However, I just put new speaker cables in, and it might be worth waiting a few days to figure anything out. I appreciate the suggestions! Ali Express has quite an assortment of 274B tubes. I have never used them. |

They look like a clearing house, much like Newegg or Amazon, where any single product might have several suppliers. I am not in a hurry.
How would I know whether I can put KT-170s in my particular amp? |

When the KT150 was introduced I made sure that our chassis layout could accommodate the 59mm envelope.
The KT170 has a 68mm envelope so I mounted tube sockets in a chassis and plugged mine in to make sure that there was enough room to use them. Which amplifier do you have Zimmer? [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

The production date on the bottom is 11-20-15. It came back for an upgrade (IIPS, I think) 1/3/17.
The front says "Fire Bottle" The lower left script says "SE Stereo Tube Amplifier HO" If I subscribe to a hosting site I could link pictures. I can also measure center to center for the power tube sockets in the morning. |
