I have a Sophia 3 on the way. Any day now for delivery. Wondering if I can get away with Sasha and Ayre V-5.

Jax,
I think the Sasha/Ayre V5 amp is an acceptable starting point, and will sound OK in your medium-sized room, but is not powerful enough to maximize their potential.

This seems like a good place to ask this question. I have a K5xe/v5xe arrangement. I have been using Paradigm Signature S8 but, just yesterday, I bought a pair of Revel Ultima Salon2 loudspeakers. I've been lusting after these speakers for a long time.

It has been said that the Revels need a minimum of 100 watt per channel to work well. What's the opinion here? Does the V5xe have what it takes to drive a load hungry speaker like the Revel? Being neither a Class A or B amplifier, the v5xe defies classification. I should say that my Paradigms run effortlessly under the v5xe's power.

I know this is a old thread but my 2 cents for what it is worth I do not have sasha speakers but i do have KXR and MXR now up graded to the 20s . If you are looking at the MXRs the 20 upgrade is well worth checking out.
