The MC501 amplifier was the only model, I regretted selling but I feel that the MC462 is likely very close to same performance of the MC501. With the higher headroom of 3 dB compared to 1.8 dB, it is possible peak performance may be higher than the MC501.
Normally I do not see the meters going past 4.5 watts, so the extra power is for reserve. Dan
