Hello from the Willamette Valley
Stumbled into this site while Googling this morning. Grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area but have lived in Oregon for the last 20 years. Briefly in the late '70's I sold expensive trinkets at Garland Audio in San Jose and at audio shops in Oregon, but my interest reaches back to the time when the Fisher 500C and Mac MR67 were new product. The rest of my resume reads like a checkerboard you'd probably not want to play on.
My main system sports a C-J Premier 17LS and MF2500 feeding Paradigm SE-3's and sourced by a refurbished 27-year-old SOTA Sapphire/Jelco arm/Grado Gold/Graham Slee Era Gold V phono stage, stock OPPO BDP-83, and Marantz ST6000 that's about to replaced by an MR77 for which I just got a tracking number. I like the look and feel of the site.

Jim.......Welcome to Audio Aficionado. Like you, I spent years in San Francisco (late 60's) before moving to Gresham and then Portland, Oregon. My name is on a brick in Pioneer Square. I was living in Portland when Mt. St. Helens erupted. I love the Pacific Northwest. The coast at Cannon Beach, Seaside and Astoria were always favorite destinations. I now live in north Florida, but miss the West coast.
Glad you found us. I think you will like this audio forum.

Welcome Jim - I lived in Corvallis for 5 1/2 years while I attended OSU and worked at HP for a short while. I lived in Beaverton after that for another 10 1/2 years afterwards working for Intel. I miss a lot of things about that area and still come to visit family over in Oregon often. Glad to have you aboard as a subscriber here at AA!
