Default I compared Transparent PIR to RSA MAXIM

I am upgrading my AC Conditioner.
previous set up was that the ARC REF 40, Esoteric P03/D03 connected to
Transparent PIR, and Moon W7MRS directed to wall. I can say that without
Transparent PIR, I can't listen. PIR made tonal balance right. smoother high andgood bass.

I wanted to add Conditioner to Moon power amps, So I bought a Maxim. But prior to use it as intended, I removed PIR and put Maxim in its place. And I can't going back to PIR. Everything that PIR did so well, Maxim is a lot better sounding. more organic, more analog, better bass, sweeter mid and smoother with more extended high. Also soundstage is fuller and wider. Anyway, when I put my ears on RSA chassis I can hear a buzz from inside, while PIR is dead silent.

So Am I going to use Maxim with power amps and PIR for source as planned ?
NO. I order Dmitri for use with source instead as I like RSA very much.

Transparent PIR is still a very good sounding unit, so it will serve home theater system instead.

Surprisingly, in my home country, RSA Maxim is not a lot more expensive than my PIR. Yes, Transparent in my country is very expensive. Too expensive.

That's very good to know! I'll give the Running Springs Audio power conditioners a listen as well. Thanks for sharing.

I am curious now, that Should I also use Maxim for sources as well ? it is cheaper, heavier, and more filter. Or to ask in the other way, by disregarding number of outlets and price, which one make better sound for sources, Maxim or Dmitri ?But it's too late, I already paid and got dimitri despite having only 3 sources in system now, should have bought 2 Maxim instead.

Oh and I bought them without any AC cords, I have to use 15A>20A adaptors with my
Transparent Powerlink MM2. one adaptor is Shunyata and one is Voodoo.

Maxim is best for amps and Dimitri is best for sources....the Dimitri gives you an extra level of filtering that's needed for sources as with the Maxim the extra level of filtering is not needed with amps......you done right!

Thanks Jeff, I just feel Maxim is heavier and read somewhere opposite to what you told me, not telling that you are wrong, but I read that Maxim has extra filtration.
Oh By the way do they need long burn-in ? Now both unit are about 15 hours old.
What can I expect in the next 100 hours ? Thanks again.

The Maxim is a bit different in regards to filtering as its more for several large draw components as where the Dimitri is more for one large draw and several smaller draw components......The RSA stuff takes a few hundred hours to get to thier best but sound mighty fine out of the box.....enjoy!

This is one of the most cost effective sound upgrade I ever done.
Hope they will maintain performance for a very very long time.
Thanks Jeff for info. Oh an by the way, in owner manual, it suggest raising RSA off of the
floor will improve the sound. I will try. Now just put trem on carpet using supplied spikes.
