Those are the Sophias. Sashas are bigger.

Sasha's are very close to the size of the 802. Maybe a hair shorter..

Having owned a pair some years ago before my WP7s, think those are B&W N800s, not the smaller 802s.

Yes, they are, we were just discussing relative sizes. I have 802's and so does Rod (he has 800's as well).

Well to be more precise, those in the pic are 800 diamonds. Not the older Nautilus 802. I think. Gee, now I am not sure!

I can tell from the picture that they are not the current generation 800 Diamonds. I can see the B&W logo on the grill which is no longer present so that means they are either the 1st gen 800 Diamonds or the N800's. I'm not familiar enough with the N series but if someone is then it may be as simple as looking at the grills again. The grill's wrap around the edges a bit which is a feature of both the 1st and current gen 800 Diamonds. I know that the older N series Marlan head did not hug the high frequency driver as tight as it did/does with both Diamonds series but the speakers are to far back in the photos to tell.
One thing the speaker is not is an 802, only the 800's have the plinth in that photo. |

Can't wait to hear your review of the Sashas with the MC452 Marc... What speaker wires and connectors are you going to use?

Yeah, that's a dead giveaway - the 802 has a black plinth and it's much smaller.

I have all Transparent "super". I know there is better, but honestly I haven't been able to hear huge differences when trying the next step up. However, that could change when I go to the Sasha's. Not sure. I'll entertain new wires but not for a while. I'm gonna be tapped out! |
