This speaker is supposed to be better than an already very nice sounding Model 5. Sure looks better than his older designs.

I have only heard their CE's way time back. BUT for $45k a pair, its steep and plenty of competition. Tough sell over here ......

The Model 5 was able to compete with speakers way above its price point. I guess Richard Vandersteen decided to put some extra coin into the cabinetry on this newer model.

It will be a tough sell anywhere. I have only heard a couple of speakers that could get me to part with $45k. The depreciation on high priced speakers is absurd.

For me, Maxx 3

Come to think of it, I already did have a pair at home, the Acapella High Violon (silly me .... )

Cheers!

I wouldn't trade my 111F's even up for the Maxx 3's. Just a different sound altogether. Many people don't care for omnidirectional speakers, but I prefer how they sound more like a live event.
