Default Another great party at Ivan's....

Today was the big day, a great party once again at Ivan's, enjoyed by all. The demos were astonishing, as always. I'd like to thank Ivan and his famly for their great hospitality, and congratulations to Jimmy for his win of the Power plant premier, and to Mike (Dj_Amtrak) for his win of he HDMI cable.

It was great seeing old friends again...

It was also a pleasure to meet some "new" faces...those members I'd chatted with numerous times here but had never met-Howard "hkval", Gary "garysrq", Mike "dj_amtrak and others.

Upon my return home, I'll post some pictures. I never really had a chance for new photos of "The room" as Ivan started the presentations almost immediately, and these ran throughout the day...then time got away, it was late and things were wrapping up. We've all seen the pictures of "The Room" here anyway, and they don't do it justice. Only a personal visit can do that.

Great time, great fellowship. Thank you Ivan, Donna, Richard and Shanna for a great time.

A Hearty Thank you to Everyone that made the trip to visit us today; some near, some far.

Another Wonderful MacStravaganza is in the history book, but not without generating new friendships, revisiting some old, and sharing our passion for the "Love of Music"

It was simply a joy to host this event with everyone who was able to attend; and as always I look forward to many more!

This was a day that lifetime memories are made from. The Messer family makes everyone feel like part of their family. If you think the AA members are like friends, wait until you meet them face to face and you know instantly they definitely are great friends. The audio and video program was perfection (especially Shakira). For those who could not attend, just imagine her on a 10' diagonal screen within reaching distance from your hands. The Gothams literally make your heart pound similar to watching Shakira move her "hips don't lie". One could feel Kung Fu Panda's pain every time he was hurled into a wall and the room shook when contact was made somewhat as you would shake from contact with Shakira.
The food, wine and warm, friendly environment were perfect as is - have I mentioned Shakira?
Thanks to Ivan, Donna, Shanna, Richard and Shakira for a wonderful time.

Well the 2010 AA weekend extravaganza has come and sadly gone. Rather than providing color commentary on my personal experience on what I felt, what I saw, and what I herd while being in the “THE ROOM”, I would rather like to discuss something MORE important and that is Ivan and Donna’s hospitality. I will leave the color commentary to folks like Vintage Pete who are more articulate than myself and can do a much better job of explaining what we ALL were feeling during the demos. I think the word “Perfection” sums it up for me.

For the benefit of the folks who are new to AA, when Ivan had his first event back in 2008 he essentially opened up his home to distant friends and in some cases complete strangers (me for an example). I was thinking ok there must be some greater agenda by inviting folks he had never really met before. Some of my initial thoughts were am I going to show up to this guys home only to find out he makes “Tony Montana” look like a choir boy. What does he do for a living to have a 1M+ Home Theater and all of these fast cars, toys, etc. Well I guess you could draw some parallels with respect to his gun collection and the movie Scarface, but that is for another time. Since I live in FL and Parkland, FL not being too far away from me, I said “what the heck” let me go and see what this MasterLu guy was all about as I could always leave if Manolo greeted me at the door.

When I arrived I was graciously welcomed in his home and after I got to know the man, Ivan, I quickly learned he was simply a nice guy who did not come into great wealth, but by working hard in life he has achieved great wealth, something I can appreciate and respect. For him and his family hosting these events is a labor of love, from the catering down to the music selection for the demos, and even the raffles, “Its First Class or Stay Home” and these events are first class not to mention a GREAT TIME. These events require a lot of planning, time, and dollar investment all done for our entertainment and for the love of music. There is never a cover charge to attend, it is not a requirement that you do business with Ivan to attend, it does not matter what your social economic status is, the color of your skin, or what religion you practice. Just be nice and all AAers are welcome.

So to conclude, I wanted to personally thank Ivan, Donna, Shanna, and Richard for a wonderful time, AGAIN, and for being such gracious host’s, great people, and good friends to ALL of the AAers!!!

Warm Regards,

Jimmy

I also agree with Jimmy, 102%.

Ivan, you and your family are wonderful hosts, who made us all feel at home. After being there 10 minutes, I felt like I had been there 20 times before.

Meeting all you guys was really great.

The Room, well what can I say, it was spectacular!

The music, the video, and those Gotham subs, making the seats vibrate, it's an amazing experience no one should miss out on!

And of course, who can forget, "My name is Pete, and I don't have a Blue Ray"

Lets, not forget the food, and the weather that worked out perfect for us.

Thanks Ivan and family for a wonderful time.
