Default blowen fusen und poppen speaker mit spitzen sparken

I am selling my suped-up Dyna ST-70, and I had, HAD I say, an extra rectifier I HAD meant to throw in to the deal. So last night I opened it up for the first time and started using it. No problem... the amp sounded great. So today I flip the switch and as it's warming up I hear a loud buzz from the left speaker and as I look up, the rectifier and one of the KT88s are both arcing, and before I can sprint over to hit the switch the fuse blows.

Sure enough, at least one of the KT88s is muerte.

What the hell happened?

Beans.......Thank goodness you still have the ol' reliable McIntosh gear. Just noticed you also have a Revox B77 Mk II. Cool.

Yeah, fact is I've moved out. I had always planned on selling this ST-120 kit amp, as much as I hate to. It sounds really, really good but I can't justify keeping all this gear, especially now that I've blown a couple of tubes.

I think I have proven the rectifier is still good. I just had a KT88 blow out. Is this the typical fashion? ...with the "blinding light show" reminiscent of the band Triumph?
