I have never had an issue with a carburetor and the fact that there is a gas shut-off to insure that none will be left in the carb combined with the use of Startron / starbrite treatment when stored all has been good.

Again...... with electric start it's a no brainer !

Default Snow blower

I always put Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer in the tank, shut the valve and let the motor run dry each year. Both my machines were the basic or I guess they call them Classic.

Never once did I ever have to pull more than once to start it again in the next winter. They all had a plug to use an electric start but I never used it.

Only option I would get are the upgraded skid plates.

I never used a fuel stabilizer and for 30+ years always use BP Ultimate Premium, previously known as (Amoco) for all my engines and have never had any major problems starting in the beginning of season.

If you ever look at the BP gas, it is clear compared to others.

I started using STA-BIL 22205 Fuel Stabilizer this year though, just for the fun of it.

She won’t let me. She likes getting out there and clearing snow. Right now, she will just shovel it as the current snowblower is not easy to use. Plus if it was totally up to me, I would buy the largest snowblower with tracks that would fit in my garage. In a couple of the bigger storms, our neighbor has seen her out there and actually used his snowblower to help out.

while true, 30 years ago there wasn't 10% (or more) ethanol in ones gas either. For those that have ethanol free gas available, use it !
