Big fan of AZ also; Double Barrel, Silver Ref. II, refrerence II, Krakatoa cords on all amps, preamps and sources.

Question to all. I originally had the interconnects terminated with XLR's; switching back and forth with some Belden cables with RCA ends the sound field collapses somewhat, less authoritative bass but more accurate.

Has anyone experimented with AZ rca vs. XLR from CD source (balanced unit)to unbalanced preamp (c2300)

I have MCD 500 (balanced), silver ref. II (balanced cables, to C2300 (not fully balanced tubed preamp), to quad balanced MC1.2kw with AZ ref. II.

Appreciate the feedback.

Reviving this one from the dead it seems. I have AZ cables all around too, including at the power level. Love them but am considering a few updates including getting the Absolute Speaker Cables.

Question to those that have tried the Absolute Speaker Cables and maybe left to try another brand, are there any out there that are an obvious upgrade? For example, is the Audience AU24 SX a better option than the Absolute's?

I stopped looking after getting the Absolute Cables. I am sure there are better or different sounding cables out there.

Right now i am currently testing an acoustic zen absoute xlr copper and
Absolute speaker cable vs my own audience au 24 sx rca and 24 sx
Speaker cable. Since i can honestly say that that out of the box without
Break in for the az- it is a much better cable detail wise, timbral/ instrument
Colour and depth of soundstage. Bass slam, soundstage width and height
Dynamics goes to audience.

Az also has a blacker background, this might be because im using
Az xlr vs rca from audience.

Im also trying out swiss cable reference plus xlr cable. Now this definitely
Bettered both audience and az.
