I'm with Robert--the SRM-700T amp with the 009S is jaw dropping.

a couple months back i found an MSB Select Electrostatic Headphone amp for sale used, so i purchased it to go with my Select II dac. then i purchased a pair of Stax 009S headphones.

love the combination and it holds it's own in certain ways (but not all ways) compared to my 2 channel system. this amp and dac are designed as a synergistic combo, it's one button to switch from headphones to speakers and back again.

a few times a week i will end my nightly listening sessions with headphones for a very intimate counterpoint to my normal speaker listening.

Just checked your link--an awesome system. Amazing that the 009S can hold its own in certain ways--for less than the cost of your speaker cables?
