Default New Vinyl

Made the trip to LA yesterday to buy a little vinyl... I ended up with a lot less than I expected... but this is what I found...

Love new vinyl, it's a good, rainy day here in the desert, going to make soup and CLEAN vinyl.

I purchased the Sota last week and at the time had no vinyl. In the past week or so I have purchased 10 new albums and another 15 or so used albums. The used ones are repeats of albums owned long ago. They were trashed when I converted to CD's in 84. Anyway, I was looking through the elusive disc sale last week, and bought the latest Boz Scaggs album "Speak Low" on a fluke.

I don't have the turntable yet(should be here by Friday).Tonight I found the recording on Rhapsody and decided to do a preview. OMG. I love it. His rendition of Do nothing till you hear from me is great.
Always fun to discover new music, especially when you stumble on it. Can't wait to hear it on the SOTA!

Do you have someone who will help you set it up or do you feel comfortable doing it yourself?

The guy I bought it from will help by phone. The arm and cartridge are attached, so that should make it a bit easier

He is shipping with arm and cartridge attached? Or do you mean cartridge attached to arm but packed separetely? I am not sure how one can pack a table with the arm still attached. If the arm is off the table, you will likely need a protractor to make sure you reinstall the arm and the alignment of the catridge is proper..
