It doesn't completely explain it, but Wilson speakers are made in the U.S. by workers who like to have health insurance, retirement plans, etc. - the people making Sasha 2s are not making minimum wage.
The costs of the milling equipment also rise over time - the bits used to cut and shape X material are expensive and don't last very long. If you want to see Wilson keep costs down they could move manufacturing to Asia, as most speaker manufacturers have - but would you want to see that? |
