I have to decide if I want another multi-bit DAC, (really like yggy) in which case that would knock this really nice RME box out of the running, or if I’m willing to try a different flavor S/D DAC. I like the flexibility and small form factor of the RME.

Good video on the features and function of the ADI-2 FS

It comes from a pro-audio company so it has some neat features.

I am looking at this for a couple of reasons. We bought a Class B camper van and this runs on 12VDC so I can listen without having to turn on the inverter. This would make an excellent all-in-one device - I’d feed it with my tablet.

It has one of the lowest noise levels, so great for IEM.
Many amps are too noisy for IEM.

It has great power into 300 ohm and even better into 200 ohms of the LCD4.

It should drive the LCD4 with authority and those cans need a ballsy amp to extract maximum potential. My LCD3 benefited greatly from amps with an iron fist grip although the cans themselves were sweeter than honey.

So far so good.

Congrats on the camper van! You may run into Tyll Hertsens, (the headphone guru guy) as he has decided to live in a camper while traveling all over indefinitely.

Yes, 9-15V. Very convenient.

Look into this: http://www.soekris.dk/dac2541.html

Read really good things about it. $1100 or thereabouts.

Yep, it’s also on the list. So far I’m presenting options. At least we settled on HD600 but that presents a slight challenge for 300 ohm happy dac/amp combo. Modi 3/Magni should be fine though as would the Asgard multibit. I liked the Asgard with the 600’s
