Very nice Charles! I like how you show it on its ride home too.

brownbear, thank you so much. Usually, I run into some little problem with the installation but this was easy. This transport has a beautiful sound. Noticed it right out of the box. The sound is very transparent but without any edge. Bass slam is excellent. Mids are perfect in height and neither forward or recessed. Noise floor is very low and zero hum. One of the advantages of Mac is the attention they pay to SACD. I have a lot of them and plan to buy more. I'm still waiting on my MVP 901. I'll probably buy a WEL coaxial digital cable for it based on how good the new transport sounds through the AES/EBU output using the WEL. However, I don't hear much difference if any between it and the MCT. Mac has done a fantastic job on this MCT connection. Many manufacturers add SACD as an afterthought. The dealer gave me the WEL digital as a gift, so I got it for free. Otherwise, I'd use the MCT for all listening. It's that good. I wish he'd given me a coaxial instead but that's water over the bridge. Even a meter is expensive. I like the modern Mac sound personally better than any sound I have heard. The XVX brings out the best in Mac. It's a very neutral sound just a little on the white side. Zero veiling or darkness.

Best

Charles

Moved to a new, more spacious room. The acoustics played much better.

Beautiful set with the Macs and the JBL's but very bad acoustics for what I see with all refecting surfaces.
You can have a much better sound, e.g. with a carpet on the floor. Take a try with a bedcover there in front of the JBL's and notice the difference.
