What are they?
So I’ve noticed some small round puck shaped objects sitting on the top of and around different components in pictures of folks high end systems, what are those things? Curious.

Best guess is you're seeing various types of isolation devices that are supposed to help keep vibrations from getting inside the component and wreaking havoc on all those itsy bitsy integrated circuits thereby creating distortion. Distortion is bad.
Whether they actually work is anyone's guess. I have my opinions, but will keep them private.
