I never did understand the BMW's goal with the X6. Sure, I drove it, it is a great handling, quick SUV but so is the X5 they already had, an average driver would never come even close to realizing the difference on the streets. It has terrible back seats with low head room due to the sloping roof and controversial styling. IMHO, it was an answer to a question no one asked.... I already had a few X5's so I decided to try a Porsche SUV and got a Cayenne GTS but the X6 was never even a consideration for me.

Thats the thing about the X6, it isn't meant to be cross shopped with an X5 or an SUV. It is basically an M6 with the higher ride hight, all wheel drive and more luggage space. It is one of those cars you either "get" or you don't. Reminds me of the last 7 serires, everyone hated it in the press, but they sold more than ever and the styling was copied by many...
