The usual wait on that one here in Dallas-about 6-12 months. Not many are made to begin with. I think my Linn dealer has sold about 3 since this pickup has been available.

Hi Serge,
Congrats on the new table...........Here is a quick and easy way to get VTA close, also try tracking closer to the max 2.5 g and see what you think. Many like to track the Clearaudio carts heavy. Have fun and enjoy Last edited by Removed; 03-29-2012 at 02:46 PM. |

Great tip Jeff! I've been scratching my head trying to figure out a better way to measure the VTA. I tried using a ruler but that is a bit frustrating not to mention dangerous... I have to watch Fremer's DVD again, I think he had something neat for VTA.

I forgot to include the picture of the standard protractor that came with the table. Needless to say it leaves much to be desired since you have to "eyeball" the arrow that is supposed to point to the pivot point and is a good 6 inches short. As you can imagine, anytime you have to eyeball anything, it is less than precise... Here are the results of me eyeballing to the best of my ability with the standard protractor after the setup with the Feickert.

Your dealer wouldn't set it up for you?

That last picture shows just how inaccurate the standard protractor can be. The Feickert protractor is a much more precise tool. My dealer wasn't going to use the Feickert... Besides, where is the fun of having a dealer setup your table for you? I enjoy a good challenge and try to learn as much as I can along the way. This is nothing compared to radio controlled helicopters I used to build, now that required a learning curve not only to build but to fly as well....
