I'm curious, in what way?

To my ears, in mono the MC275 lost some of its rhythm, pace & timing. Enough so that I went back to a single MC275 before MC75s. As always..... YMMV.

I run a pair of MC275IVLE monos to Focal utopia III Scalas. I do supplement them with a pair of RELG1 subwoofers. I personally find the mono blocks superior to the stereo amplifier. Perhaps the stereo amplifier has a little more micro dynamics but using a pair of mono amplifiers gives a much wider soundstage and provides a “big dog sound“. It’s not a subtle difference.
Check out Audio Excellence reviews on YouTube for the amplifier.

Interesting take. I've heard similar sentiments as well.

^ I agree with Formerly. I started with monoblocks and now have a single. I prefer the sound of the single. Just my opinion.

In case you are still interested, I stopped by my local McIntosh dealer this week and they still have the MC275 VI that I traded in. I purchased the MC275 VI last November but did not get it until I think February or March of this year. The McIntosh tubes were not used because I immediately replaced them with new Gold Lions which are still in the amp and the unused McIntosh tubes should still be in the box. FYI, I think I used the amp for about two months before trading it in for an MC462. Like is said before, the MC275VI replaced a failed MC275VI which I had for around five years. PM me and I'll give you the dealer name.
