It's great news to revert back to pre- 2.0 version where you didn't need an internet
connection to access the core. Brilliant. It seems that the future is bright.

So after months of reading and hesitation, I decided to download the Roon trial on my MacBook Pro M1. Wi-Fi through DECO Mesh (fortunately consistent 300+ mps). No issues with Roon. Just WOW in terms of user experience, navigation, Bios, browsing and discovery, the interface was nothing short of amazing and so easy to use.
Didn’t engage any ROON DSP but noticed Roon kept MacBook cpu busy above 15% usage with no other apps running. Tidal thru Roon to Bluesound Node coaxed to MAC DA2 dac sounded marvelous. So happy with the Roon experience that a Nucleus One is on preorder. Lots of fun learning ahead.

Another happy Roon convert here. Shoulda bought the lifetime license three years ago (along with Bitcoin and Nvidia I suppose...).
