Default 2021 Ford F-150 Makes Trucking Safer With Onboard Scales

`

" Ford is about to release an onboard scale in the 2021 Ford F-150, and in doing so, they've just made towing and hauling a lot safer. Like, a lot safer."

Weight added 12” forward of the rear axis is far different than weight added 12” behind the rear axis. Tong weight for example is critical especially without trailer breaks. Been a Ford fan since the introduction of twin I beams.

The more I think about it the more I like this on board scale. No one want so see their life flash before their eyes during a bad accident. Learning the hard way down a grade in a mountainous region is not advised. I have a friend who sold his dump truck, backhoe and trailer after almost being pushed off a mountain road by his own rig. The way he described it he was fighting for his life wrestling the steering wheel as the trailer lashed back and forth from side to side. Going down hill on a curvy road makes it hard to just stomp the gas to pull out of a jackknife. Anyway, thanks for the post.
