Any hope for flexible output format on Apple TV3?

is there a chance for a software-update for the Apple TV3 to get a flexible format output?

44/96/192 kHz would be great!

You need to clarify if you're referring to the HDMI or Optical out? But i'm pretty sure the AirPlay protocol in use for this product will never allow for higher bitrates.
If you are streaming video from Apple store, Netflix or similar then this is a different story all toghether and i wouldnt know what limits are in effect.

AirPlay however is fixed @ 16bit 48kHz Apple Lossless for the Apple TV (Gen 3) and @ 16bit 44.1kHz for the AirPort Express.
