I’ve slowly realized that person wasn’t quite right. Now I have to wrap my head around getting a hydra and another venom to go along with it

I’ve got the venom Ethernet cable coming next week. Hoping that is an improvement over my stock wire. Unfortunately the cat8 cable I used didn’t have an effect that I could hear.

Is it possible to have really clean power based on area and power conditioners aren’t needed? I’m out in the country and even certain tweaks that are supposed to make a world of difference (Furutech clear line plug, using wall outlet vs. a power strip) don’t seem to register from what I can hear.

The NR V10 definitely had some perceptible differences though the bass and mid range - better clarity, air, etc.

Anyway, the loom is slowly coming along.

The Venom Ethernet will provide a notable improvement; you'll easibly be able to hear the benefit it provides.

No. Most of the noise in systems comes from the full-wave bridge rectifiers in the system components' power supplies.

Also, if you are using any device that utilizes a switch-mode power supply in or near your audio rack, that is also putting low- and high-source impedance leakage current into the system that results in noise on the ground plane and increased threshold jitter in digital devices. If the SMPS is of the type that is powered by AC power cord to SMPS brick to DC cable to the end device, using a Shunyata Venom V14D Digital power cable will mitigate this.

One thing to count on in audio is the marketing hype. Taking often outdated concepts that are not applicable to all cases and making it seem only the audiophiles have solutions to world problems. When in fact it is quite the opposite. Here is FUJI describing the problems mentioned above as well as solutions from decades ago. DC-DC converters are just one of the devices...

Any other industry or health for example, If the treating physician would tell their patients these confabulated stories and miracle treatments, well I think we all know what would happen... But as it stands, we like our $8k power cords to offer miracle solutions to problems that do not exist for other industries... FUJI would be very interested in a $8k power cord...

By the way, in another thread there was talk of fuses... Funny how an $8k power cord the size of an anaconda still has to push all that juice through a fuse...

Yes, change the fuse but it is still a tiny wire compared to the snake on the floor and yet all the current has to flow through the fuse to protect the gear. Of course there are other ways of protecting other than a fuse with its own set of problems...
