Wilson Audio and Ayre Acoustics
I would have loved to have attended this special event tonight
.....but I didn't want to fight the rush hour traffic from the 'burbs into town .....gotta to talk to my dealer and see if he can change these events to a Sat. afternoon instead

Man, I'd love to hear that. In this town, Ayre & Wilson are handled by different dealers.

The Wilson Sasha/Ayre combo was the first time I heard the Sasha's. I was very surprised by the sheer musicality of that combo. It is a very nice pairing indeed. The MX-Rs had just a bit of a struggle with the 1.8 ohm dip as was witnessed by the slight thickness and loss of articulation in the narrow mid bass region occasionally depending on the music and recorded instruments we were listening to. Granted the room was large and we were pushing the amps in the "impressive" dynamic range region. I have not noticed the Lamm's having any difficulty with that on their 1-6 nor the 7-16 ohm setting but my room is not quite as large or as extensively treated.
