MGIIIa Ribbon Strike!
So glad to get the Modified MGIIIa back up and running! A screen arc in one of the tubes of the Quicksilver Mini Mono mono blocks running the ribbons took out the right ribbon, but not the fuse???
Talked to Gary at Magnapan and received great service once again had the ribbons very quickly and put fresh ribbons in both speakers. One forgets just how effortless these speakers are, fabulous! And yes I got new tube set as well! Regards, Jim

High voltage rather than current took it out I’d say. It’s good to know they took care of you!

Glad to hear you’re in recovery Jim. I was just reading your signature and you have such a great system. I’d love to hear Maggies like yours some day.
