As purdy as it is, I am not sure that I want to move from my vintage Thorens. I am sure that the new one is much improved in many ways (it better be), but when I listen to my current rig it sounds soooooo right - and so deeelicious - I am hard pressed to justify a change.
Many 'tables have come and gone in my system and, as I've mentioned in other posts, for my vinyl listening is less about HiFi and more about vibe, tone, nostalgia, etc., and I get this in spades. Having said that, the new Thorens is definitely a contender in terms of looks. Alberto |

10-12 grand for the new Thorens puts it out of reach for most us who listen to LP's on occasion.
