Default Can anyone identify this video?

Recently, I ran across a video of a group of musicians performing "While my Guitar Gently Weeps". Among them is Tom Petty, Prince, Jeff Lynne, and quite a few I don't know. Here is the video:

George Harrison Tribute with Prince - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

It is apparently a cut from a "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" presentation. I am interested in obtaining a higher-quality version of the song if possible. Does a CD of this exist? Thanks for your help.

From Wiki...........

Quote:
In 2004, George Harrison was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was played in tribute by fellow inductee Prince, along with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Dhani Harrison
I don't know about a better quality video unless The Hall releases som sort of DVD each year.

I guess we need a little more snoopng around.

I've seen that clip before, and I had the same thought in seeing it again:

Prince would serve us all well by hooking up with some real Rock musicians and just PLAY his guitar. The kid has chops.

A second question: Who plays the guitar solo (not Prince)? It starts at about 1:55 into the clip. I don't know who that guy is, but he is good.

I've seen Prince live 3 or 4 times live and he is one of the best guitarists around.

He's like Rodney - he gets no respect.

I have to agree. I never knew he could actually play that thing. I have seen him carry it around a lot, but I never heard him play anything that amounted to much. This is a great song.
