Small Faces - What Fun!
I enjoy re-reading some vintage R2DF (Records to Die For) issues of Stereophile and go to Rhapsody to see if I can find the record (~80% hit rate) and then listen to it.
Yesterday, I read about the "Small Faces" and decided to give them a spin on Rhapsody. What a fun, energetic, and accomplished band. I was a toddler when they were a bit hit in the UK, but I can see why people loved them. All their songs have an irresistible and propulsive beat. I recommend their "Anthology" collection to start. Now that I know I really like them, thanks to Rhapsody, off I go to the record store. If you are not familiar with the Small Faces, check them out. If you are, perhaps you can chime in ... Alberto |
