Not surprising, is it, that so many of the "best sounding" albums listed here are classical music?
You guys who look and speak with disdain relative to classical music don't know what you are missing. Here's one of my favorites.

Bart - I got this disc based on your recommendation. Great voice, and, yes, extremely well-recorded. You can hear all the inflections in Melody's voice. For those who are curious, a sample track to check out is "Love me like a river does."

Concur. And I very rarely listen to crappy music that's beautifully recorded. Who wants to listen to THAT? :shudder:

The good news about classical music is that there are multiple interpretations/recordings available for the same composition so there is much more flexibility with that genre to get an outlanding recording of a given piece.
