Default Tape hiss/ tape compression

I guess it is a very mild form of compression that sounds pleasing to the ear.
I do not hear any hiss though....

For the life of me, I'm not able to get dsd to play out of my bryston bdp-2 and my c-2500. It's making me nuts. Thinking about ditching this portion of the rig so that I can get dsd reliably.

I'm going to flip on Little Blue right now and see if I can hear it.

Listening to Bach Reflections from sl as we speak.
No for a Sound Liaison recording with more of a beat the ''Torn '' download is the one to go for;

While I love a great sounding recording as much as the next person I find it interesting there is so little reference to the music itself. For me listening to great music comes before great recordings. Nirvana is where they both intersect.

Agreed. My contribution to the thread of top 20 classical recordings included the criteria great music + compelling interpretation + excellent sound. The total package.

Me too. I only listen to music I like. And I listen to lots of badly recorded but well played music as well.
Just today I listened to;
Miles [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnGHVBa9Tzo"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnGHVBa9Tzo[/ame]

and Robert Johnson [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_qNwek7n5g"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_qNwek7n5g[/ame]

Yes you do not see that album mentioned too often, maybe it is too difficult to label the music, but it is very worthwhile.

Interestingly it also says that the DSD transfer was done with, let me qoute; Sound Liaison Music Shop

Those dCS DACs cost something like 35.000$ maybe that explain the extra cost of the DSD.
But anyway I personally buy native when possible.

Default For Great Recording Quality

Check this out from PS Audio. First recording I've heard that rivals the SQ of the Sound Liaison work:

When I did the 802 D2 & 802 D3 comparison at the dealer they handed me a nice tracklist available to request for the demo. I carefully scanned a fantastic selection of classical, jazz and rock but buried next to the bottom of the list was this above. I paused...skipped it and went back to my search...paused again and said...."Paris....Really?" He smiled and said "we threw that in there to see if people are paying attention. "

Thought I'd return the favor here.
