Kind of hard to listen to any music when my 3-year old son is home all day during the weekends, but now he's gone to bed now.
To wind down, I'm listening to Haendel's Water Music & Music for the Royal Fireworks performed by Le Concert des Nations and Jordi Savall.   This interpretation has a delightful sense of rhythmic swing. The Royal Fireworks is specially fine. The SACD recording is very good, but a tiny bit too warm for my taste. I'm very familiar with it, so this is one of the first discs I will play after I get my Esoteric K-03 this week.

Maybe this belongs in another thread but anyway, here I go:
  Any lovers of classical Indian music here? This is quite a nice box. I have had the luck of seeing Indian musicians live at quite some occasions, and I have to say they're impressive: skill and subtlety hand in hand.

  This 2-SACD box is a marvel. Savall plays some pieces he had recorded before already, and adds other ones out of Book No. 4.

Listening to the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab LP version of the RCA Living Stereo Recording
Richard Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra Chicago Symphony Orchestra - Fritz Reiner, Conductor I have the Living Stereo recording and I'm frankly, hard pressed to find significant difference in this special edition, remastered "audiophile" MFSL LP. The plain old (and probably rare) RCA original issue sounds really, really good! Very nice sound and great performance (although I prefer the Zubin Mehta, Los Angeles Philharmonic - on Decca/London).  .
