28BSST2 circuit breaker tripped
Hi;
I recently got a pair of 28's and this morning when turning on the system I noticed that one wasn't coming on. When I investigated I discovered that the amp's power switch had tripped to the off position. My amps are powered on remotely from my Lexicon MC12. The Lexicon has a 12v power trigger which receives power the moment the processor is turned on and that's what I run to one of the 28's. From that 28 I use it's 12v out to connect to the 12v in of the 2nd 28. It was the 2nd 28 in sequence that tripped. Once I turned the power back on and powered on the Lexicon the amp turned on as expected.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the amp but what would be the typical reason to cause the tripping of the power switch? Perhaps the amp powered on to closely time wise after the first drawing to much power from the wall?
Thanks,
Rod
