So just now catching up on this new technology news. So will MQA require that other processors besides Meridian's own be capable of decoding this new tech encoded music?

To gain the full benefits of MQA encoding the DAC needs to support MQA decoding. However if the DAC doesn't support MQA it will still be able to playback the files just without all of the claimed improvements.
