Julian.......I was not ignoring your offer, it is simply that I do not have any gear I wish to trade for vinyl. Heck, I don't have any gear I wish to trade for anything.

OK, I'll trade you 5 tons of vinyl for your King Ranch Edition . . . (just kidding) . . . You know, I really wonder how much 14,000 records actually weigh. Probably as much as your Expedition anyway. I do know that they weigh more than a suspended floor will bear - I had a problem with floor loading in a previous house from the record shelves and did not have all of my records "out".

Over half of my records are in an air-conditioned self storage place. I look forward to getting them out sometime in the future and maybe recording them on whatever is the proper medium at that time - changes so often that it will probably be something totally new. But, in the meantime, I'll just continue to play them and enjoy their superior sonics.

I'm guessing 6125 pounds not including the shelving units.

Still a lot.

Dan,

That's what I was taking as an average... think it's close?

No.. still waiting on the DD-40. USPS tracking info is not much...

I will need to check the table out when it arrives... if it looks good, I will order a headshell, cart, cover, and cables... that will all cost about 3X the table...
