I know that most of us here don't traffic in audio video receivers that much but I am replacing the Pioneer elite in my bedroom. Space (and wife)just does not allow for anything larger so a one stop box is what I need to stay with. The question I have is if anyone has any opinions on what the very best AVR is regardless of price ? I am looking at Anthem, Cambridge Audio, Marantz. Hopefully someone on the forum has been in the same spot and has come up with a satisfactory solution.

Mike.......Denon comes to mind. They have a catalog of A/V receivers that are feature packed. For a bedroom system their Denon AVR-X2000 home theater receiver with Apple AirPlay would probably take care of your needs. List is $699.00.

NAD should be on the list. As a owner of one, I can say they sound terrific. Head and shoulders above others I have owned (sound wise). Anthem should be very good also, ARC, its room correction software, makes the others look like childsplay. Its supposed to sound terrific. The one perk I found with Anthem, is that if an analog signal goes in, it will get converted to digital, processed, then to its Dacs. I find that an issue because I dont like my Phono signal ever being converted to digital. Also if you have a great outboard Dac, I woulndt like my signal going through other lesser Dacs. But thats just me and my needs...this can be an issue for some, not for others. (I don't know if they have changed this in their just released new lineup)

I run an Anthem 300 in our bedroom system, replaced a Pioneer Elite. The Anthem sounds a lot better than the Pioneer and does everything well.
