Yes, the 275 was a trade-in. It held its value. I plan to keep the Mc tubes in at least 200 hrs to become familiar with the sound. I have Gold Lion power and rectifier tubes along with some Shuang (sp?) power tubes. Also a reissue set of Telefunken 12AX7 tubes. I had to move the amp today to adjust/relocate the footers on the HRS E1 platform. The tough part was getting it back on the table and platform.

Beautiful system Kevin! I just noticed you have a P12 there too. I don't know that I knew you had one. Beautiful setup!

Very nice amp.
At 118# I would have to hire someone to get the amp off the floor. That is a lot of copper, stainless & transformer potting tar.

Yes, my 65 yo body said the same thing. Luckily not feeling any residual affects this morning. I would not want to do that often.

Thank you Pete. Yes on the P12. Ivan assisted with that transaction when my APC H20 had battery issues that could not be solved. I also had a PSA P5 previously.

You lifted the amp off the floor solo? That's impressive indeed.

I bought a hydraulic table lift from Harbor Freight so that I no longer have to struggle with these super heavy Mc amps. Worth its weight in gold and my back thanks it every time.

…or very stupid. I had second thoughts once I got the full weight off of the platform. Luckily I had my hands situated directly under the transformer pots.

I may have to look into one of those lifts.

Looks Great (and more importantly must Sound Great as well) Kevin!
Can't imagine lifting that beast up. The weird balance of the tubes on one side and the transformers on the other are a challenge beyond the actual weight.

Listen in good Health!

John

Freddie-

Have had a peek a time or two on that Harbor Freight "crash cart." Seems like a good thing to have around the work bench. Thanks for the endorsement!
